A New Expression

Blond is an agency in constant motion, and we strive to renew our brand, image and ourselves in order to keep up with time and trends. Since the beginning the iconic purple color has been our signature, but what characterizes Blond, is our results and achievements. Blond is an extremely versatile agency, and we felt the impression of the purple color was becoming too dull and monotone. We wanted a fresh and new signature that reflects our competencies and work.

We chose an easily recognizable minimal icon with a simple logo type. The letter “B” is the central figure. The shapes are inspired by a diamond, which represents strength and value, and a hummingbird, which represents ease and enjoyment of life.

For our new brand identity we chose midnight blue, dark grey, light grey and cherry red as the colors. The cherry red is our contrast color and it is inspired by the “cherry on top” – something good on top of even more good things. It is the finishing touch on something that is already very good, a little something extra beyond the basic requirement – it’s the perfect rounding, it’s the cherry on top!

Red represents power and courage. It is the color of blood and fire, it is associated with the meaning of love, passion, desire, heat, longing, lust, strength, leadership, willpower, action, vibrance and determination. Red is energetic and daring. It symbolizes confidence, action and courage.

Blue represents both the sky and the sea, and is associated with open spaces, freedom, intuition, imagination, expansiveness, inspiration, and sensitivity. Blue also represents the meanings of depth, trust, loyalty, sincerity, wisdom, confidence, stability and intelligence. Dark blue is often seen as elegant, sophisticated and intelligent.

We wanted a timeless classic, simple, clean and minimal yet easily recognizable logo.
